Music Department

The Music Department consists of two choirs. The Youth Choir which comprises children and teens ages 6-18. The Youth Choir sings at many church functions and from time to time they appear at community functions and programs at other churches. There is also a Mime Group that performs on many occasions.

The second choir is the Light of the World Choir that has been in existence for approximately 60 years. The choir is made up of men and women who have given their life to Christ. They sing every Sunday during the worship service and provide uplifting songs of praise and worship.

The Light of the World Choir has a rich history. At one time, they served as a radio choir and sang every Sunday morning during the church radio broadcast, called “The Light of the World Hour.” The choir sings with great anointing because the singing comes from a personal relationship with God.

The Music Department also includes an organist, a percussion drum section, and a keyboard. The worship service is alive with good music. Music is one means to involve everyone in praise. For the scripture says, “praise God on the stringed instruments and organs, praise him on the high sounding cymbals, and let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord!”
