Nursing Home Visitation

The Nursing Home Visitation team spends time at nursing homes and personal care homes interacting with seniors and disabled people to let them know that they are not forgotten and that God cares and we care. Many of these seniors have made positive contributions over the years. Many have worked their whole lives and have been able to help shape the next generation. They are mothers, fathers, and grandparents.

Our visits remind them that their service is appreciated, and that they are valuable members of society. The Team has prayer with the residents, reads scripture and sings many of the great hymns. The seniors join in and many make requests for songs they wish to sing. It is a joy to see their faces light up as they participate.

The Bible reminds us that the person who wants to be great in the kingdom of God is the individual who serves their fellow man. It is with this servant attitude that the team interacts with the residents and to bring joy and comfort to their lives.

When we leave the nursing homes and the personal care homes we feel encouraged by the residents and appreciative that we are able to make a difference in their lives.
